Meridian Park, also known as Historic Meridian Park Neighborhood, is a community based on the northside of Indianapolis’ downtown area. It’s a small community with big historical significance because it was one of the first suburbs in Indianapolis. You’ll find Meridian Park between North Meridian Street and North Washington Boulevard.
Meridian Park is headed by the Historic Meridian Park Neighborhood Association. It does everything in its power to instill a sense of community and promote safety. Some of the events it holds include progressive dinners, a fall clean-up, and the Children’s Museum Black Hat Dash, a Fun Run and Walk event involving costumes. This community even has something called a pocket park, a park created for and by fellow neighborhood residents. If you desire a bigger park, you can visit Douglass Park, which is the namesake of abolitionist Frederick Douglass. It has a golf course, a pool, and more. A few blocks away, you’ll find Fall Creek Trail, which is next to Fall Creek. You can use the trail to walk or ride your bike to Downtown Indianapolis. The Eagledale Plaza Shopping Center is where you can conduct your errands. The plaza has chains like Rent-A-Center and Family Dollar as well as local shops. A great thing about living in this neighborhood, especially if you have children, is that it’s walking distance from the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Together, you and your child(ren) can have fun while learning something new. Meridian Park has three great schools in the area: one high school, one Butler University lab school, and an Episcopal school.
The homes in Meridian Park have antique styles like American Four-Square, Victorian, and Tudor Revival. These Meridian Park real estate properties are single-family houses with two to five bedrooms and two to six bathrooms. They measure between 1,500 to 7,000 square feet. Think about moving your family to Meridian Park. This community has great historical significance, and it’s small enough for you to get to know your neighbors. Plus, its neighborhood association makes sure that everyone feels welcome and safe. If you want more information about homes for sale in Meridian Park, Indiana, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
